About Brad:

Brad Hay is a world class ParaYoga and Meditation Teacher with a professional teaching career stretching over 20 years.  He began teaching Hatha Yoga in 1999 and in 2003 completed Yoga Arts world-renowned 9 month full time training in Byron Bay with some of the counties leading teachers.

In addition Brad is a Nationally Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and a professional member the National Ayurvedic Medical Accociation in the USA.  He completed his studies through on of the USA’s leading and most recognized Schools, The Californian College of Ayurveda.

In Colorado 2007 Brad met his current mentor of 12 years, Master Teacher, Yogarupa Rod Stryker, founder of ParaYoga.  Rod is considered to be one of the worlds leading authorities in the Tantra Yoga Tradition & officially initiated Brad into the lineage of Sri Vidya in 2010. Brad completed ParaYoga’s Master Training Program and is considered one of Para Yoga’s leading Senior Certified Teachers. 

Brad leads Tantra Yoga & Ayurveda workshops, intensives, and retreats around the world and has recently relocated with his family back to his home country Australia after 18 years in the USA.  Brad is currently the only ParaYoga Certified Teacher in Australia.

Journey To Self - a 3 part workshop on remembering who we are.

Part 1: 60 min Asana practice; main focus on breath, bandha, drishti and strong philosophical teachings on dharma, non duality and the Atman (true self)

Part 2: 45-60 min Satsung - group discussion on dharma and life purpose. Distinguishing the difference between living from fear or love, and learning how to step out of fear based living and into dharma. Touch on limiting core beliefs and hearing Kris's story about mental health and how she quit her full-time job to live out her dharma. Students will connect with each other and ultimately their true selves.

Part 3 - Kirtan! Everything we discover about ourselves we celebrate through Bhajans and mantras. We sing to ourselves, each other and the Universe!

AIM: for students to walk away with heightened consciousness; having realized the difference between the two states of being fear (Ego) and love (Soul). With this new awareness, you will be able to manifest your desires and live with purpose, peace, joy, and love.

The workshop will begin with a chakra opening meditation, a Yang to Yin practice with a focus on the conscious extended breath. You are invited to wear a transparent blindfold to explore the concept of self trust, and you will be guided inwards to touch that pure space of stillness within. From here we can access the quiet whispers of our heart, seeking out a connection so that you can hear it’s guidance.

Closing the session of with a Sound Medicine Journey using Crystal bowls and chanting. Are you ready to get closer to you? This will be a workshop you will remember. Bookings are essential.

About Karina:

Karina's passion lies in empowerment and she honors her students by creating a safe space of love and connection for them to embody the concept of what being 'wild' means to them. She is on a path of continuous healing and growth using Yoga, meditation, breath work, pranayama and sound medicine, all of which are used in her workshop creations. She has a Bachelor in Human Movement and Health Education, she has over 12 years experience in the health and education industry, with a background in welfare and mental health. She believes the process of letting go is not limited to the mind, and that the most effective forms of release and healing occur when the body and mind are addressed as a union. 

Other than teaching Yoga, Karina holds space for Sound Healing and Breathwork, teaches vocal activation and Sound Bowl Meditation, Yoga Teacher Mentor, is a Theta Healer and conducts sessions 1-1 around Sydney and online.

This workshop helps us to identify this trance and to bring a healing attention that frees us to live our moments with creativity, wisdom, and love. This workshop is for the sole (soul) purpose of healing and you will be sure to experience a divine energetic shift. We will explore how to take these lessons off the mat and into the world, so every moment can be lived wholeheartedly and we can embrace life in all of its magic.

About Clare:

My yoga journey began in 2010 on a beach in Byron Bay under the guidance of Mariana De Castro (from the Brazilian Swasthya lineage). My practice, which began as a purely physical pursuit to balance out my often chaotic lifestyle, has evolved into a ‘toolkit for life’ that is with me always.

I believe that yoga does not just take place on the mat but intertwines with every element of our lives. My practice has taught me that genuine happiness is not based on external conditions but can be achieved by living simply and mindfully with generosity and compassion. This is a philosophy that I want to share with the world.

I am currently registered at the RYT500 hour level with Yoga Alliance Australia. I completed my 200 hour teacher training in March 2014 with Mathew Bergan at Dancing Warrior Yoga. I then continued my studies with Mathew – completing a further 150 hour advanced teacher training by December 2014.

I have completed 50 hours of Chakra Sequencing , 50 hours of Ayuvedic Sequencing & 50 hours of Bhakti training with Jasmine Tarkeshi (Laughing Lotus Flow). I completed a 60 hour Yin/Yang advanced teacher training with Sarah Powers (Insight Yoga) and I have also trained extensively with Shiva Rae.

About Karina:

Karina's passion lies in empowerment and she honors her students by creating a safe space of love and connection for them to embody the concept of what being 'wild' means to them. She is on a path of continuous healing and growth using Yoga, meditation, breath work, pranayama and sound medicine, all of which are used in her creation, Empowering the Wild. She has a Bachelor in Human Movement and Health Education, she has over 10 years experience in the health and education industry, with a background in welfare and mental health. She believes the process of letting go is not limited to the mind, and that the most effective forms of release and healing occur when the body and mind are addressed as a union. She has completed two 200hr Foundational Yoga Teacher Trainings with Absolute Yoga Academy and HYA Yoga Studios & Academy, 100hr Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Sarah Owen & Janine Leagh, Embodied Being at HYA Yoga with Janine Leagh & Embodied Flow Mind 100hr with Tara Judelle and Scott Lyons. Karina teaches Power Yoga, Hot Yoga and Dynamic Flow Yoga and Yin Yoga.

CHAKRADANCE is a well-being movement practice. It uses spontaneous dance, to specific chakra-resonant music, for the purpose of healing and re-tuning your whole energy system.

The purpose of Chakradance is simple, if ambitious: to help you to more fully embody your soul.

At the heart of Chakradance is the music. For all of us, the seven major chakras are the energetic gateways through which body, mind and spirit come together, literally embodying the soul.

In Chakradance classes and courses, each of these seven chakras has its own unique body of wonderfully danceable music, resonating to its own specific vibrational frequencies.

On one level, Chakradance can be experienced as a joyful affirmation of who you truly are. Using spontaneous dance, creativity and your imagination, it leads to an awakening, a discovery of your true self.

But at a deeper level, Chakradance is also about healing and balance. By surrendering to the music of each chakra, we dance from the inside out and find ourselves awakening and healing ancient hurts; expressing – often for the first time – long-blocked emotions; and opening ourselves up to levels of spiritual connection higher than we ever thought possible.

This is what we mean when we describe Chakradance as “rhythm for your soul”.

Think of it as a 'dynamic moving meditation to music'... or as 'the musical sister of yoga' (without the set-piece poses or asanas).

There is no right or wrong way to move your body. It’s a journey of self-discovery. Each chakra is explored through specific music, guided imagery and your own free, improvised dance, done in a candle-lit space with your eyes softly closed. This begins to activate inner experiences.

When: Monday the 11th September - Tuesday the 10th October 2017

How it works: We will have all participants on our white board in the studio. Each time you come for a practice you place a 'gold star' on your name. It is not a competition.. However this process keeps us honest and motivated. There will be prizes at the end for dedication and community support. (A private yoga class with Natalie, an Albert n Miso Voucher, A copy of Room to Breath by Chrissy Guinery)

South Coast Soul invites YOU to our official open day!

Offerings:

8am - Flow with Amie (60 mins)

Flow Yoga is meditation in motion, where postures are linked breath by breath. This class will move at a slightly faster pace than our Align class, however Amie always provides a mindful approach to alignment. Expect to be challenged physically and mentally. 

 

10:00am - Align with Natalie (60 mins)

Our Align class will focus on creating physical integrity through detailed and personalised instruction. You can also expect a strong focus on the other limbs of yoga, such as meditation and pranayama. Expect to go deeper with Natalie into the teachings of yoga with modern knowledge for contemporary times. (60 mins)

 

11:30am to 1:30pm - Open Studio/Meet the teachers!

InPractice will open it's doors for the local community to familiarise themselves with the studio, teachers, class schedule and membership options. Natalie, Amie & Nora offer herbal tea and the chance to connect with your teachers as well as talk about all things yoga. 

6:30pm - Restorative with Natalie (60 mins)

Our Restorative class is a super slowed down practice that incorporates long holds in floor based postures, while cultivating mindful awareness. Restorative Yoga is the perfect antidote to a fast paced, busy lifestyle. Expect to feel a deep release as you take some time away from your outer world to explore your inner landscape. Our restorative class will include, Hot Stones, Essential oils & herbal tea. (60 mins)

 

Our Open Day classes are by donation. All proceeds will be going to the Black Dog Institute for Mental Health. Secure your mat in quickly as spaces are strictly limited. (as above)
